OK, but kind of lame.

Its OK but the animations of the cars moving gets to be tedious after a while. Not sure it was worth the $9.99.

Its Okay not worth $9

A good game to pass time by but thats about it. Needs better resolutions for 27 inch iMacs was hoping it would fill the screen but it doesnt. Please improve resolutions

Fans of the original - avoid

I actually logged on last night looking specifically for the Game of Life. I was so delighted it had just been released! It was from the same team that made Monopoly, so I didnt have any hesitation about buying it. MISTAKE!! Aside from the colors and the shape of the pegs, this game has little resemblance to the game I remember so fondly. Instead of making good decisions and wise investments, the entire point of the game seems to be "how can I totally screw and exploit my fellow players". While that may be a sadly accurate statement on the modern world, what I wanted was to play the game I remembered. If you really enjoy taking advantage of others, this is certainly the game for you. However, if youve ever played the classic version of the Game of Life, I think youll be disappointed with this modern idea of it. Id get a refund if I could.

Delightful Surprise

Ive been playing Game of Life, well, for longer than I care to admit. : ) This is such a delightful adaptation of the original board game. Playing it on my Mac Book Air 11 inch at the restaurant with my family had us all giggling silly. Several people peered over and asked about it. My son (whos 16 and a core gamer) was nothing but enthusiasm in his responses. LOL. My wife and I thought it amusing given his "gamer" persona. Looking forward to a full screen implementation, shouldnt be hard to do. Worth the $9.99? Oh gosh, totally especially gven the price of other games out there. Strong recommendation: Buy.

Alright, but not what I was expecting.

After buying Monopoly off of the App Store, I quickly bought the Game of Life too. I was hoping that I would get the same bang for my buck as I did with Monopoly, but unfortunately no. The game hardly bares any resemblance to the original Game of Life and I was a bit disappointed after playing for the first time. The game runs fine, and for that I gave it 3 stars, but I wish I could get a refund, or have them redo the game for me for free.

Just like the real life game!

I was looking for some games and found this game, the game of life. I have the board game in real life and like it. When I first seen that it is $9 I thought "wow! That is a lot for just one game!" But since its Christmas I bought it! I am so pleased! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!

Fun family game

Other than a brief problem with crashing after purchase (cleared up with a reboot of my Mini), this proved to be a fun family game. Some of the controls are a tad "off" (switching from looking around the board back to rolling) and we have one piece of unexplainable behavior (the game was playing cards for people without prompting)…but the game was still very entertaining.

i like it

i like it but i dont think it is worth 10.99 it should be like 5 dollars or even maybe 3.00 i do like to play it however it is not really like the classic game of life

Not worth 10$

The pictures are not as clear as they make it sound, and its a little glitchy. Ive played life before and understand the concepts, but this game made it extremely confusing. As another reviewer stated also, the mroal of this game is to see who can manipulate the other one the worst. not as good as the original!!!

Not a huge fan, personally.

Im not a real big fan of this game. Theres no way to escape the fullscreen version as of yet, and it seems rather unlike the original. You cant even decide if you want to get married or not. Also, it gets a bit boring to play in normal speed but the fast speed made me a little nauseous because it really flies through colors and screens.

Dissapointed

So, I saw this show up in my App Store & was glad because I personally love the game. I have the actually board game itself, as well as the app for my Iphone. But what I found was, aside from the graphics & special effects, the actual game is exactly the same as the 0.99 cent app I bought for my Iphone. Im extremely dissappointed, & basically just wasted 10 dollars. I have no other complaints though, I just wish for a refund. So basically, if you have an iphone, my suggestion is that you go ahead and buy the game for your Iphone. Its 9 dollars cheaper & exactly the same.

Not worth the money.

There is really no point to this game. You spin and make 3-4 decisions (which are the same every game, every time….do I want to get school loans, take the family route, buy a house…?). Other than that, it is boring and has no real game to it. Not worth the money.

Not Much Fun

Compared to their Monopoly game, this is a big disappointment. I do not recommend it.

Same as everyone else

I first bought Monopoly and my girlfriend and I loved it! I mean we play it atleast once a day, definatly worth the money. I was looking for more games to play on the road, and just in general when I came across Life. So I payed the $10 and downloaded it. I am extreamly disappointed. We did not even finish the complete game. After about half way through, we turned it off and I deleted it off my computer. I cannot believe I spent my money on this...

PC version was far better

I bought Life on PC awhile back, just before migrating to Mac. I figured the game would be the same. Its not. Both based on the original, but the PC version was a bit more interactive. When suing an opponent, you both had to rearrange picture tiles to recreate a scene from memory. (It was difficult, but not impossible, to beat a computer opponent.) When winning/losing money, you were presented a "scratch-off" card to see what prescise amount (within a range) you had won/lost. This made the game -much- less tedius. As a side note, the PC version also allowed you to choose the gender of your spouse, for those thus inclined. The Mac version assumes a hetero partner. Not a basis for rating the game, but some folks might want to know.

O.K.

You know i bought it good for long car rides just gets dull idk... its good though

Take bad reviews seriously

This is an awful game … waste of $10. I was surprised. Hasbros Monopoly is actually well designed (perhaps by same folks as Scrabble?) Anyway, this game is a waste … just read the other bad reviews here … I should have heeded them. (Essentially, you spin and advance along the roadway … no strategy, no flexibility, horrible graphics … asinine!) Dont buy this (and I never write bad reviews!)

Not worth it

There was the Game of Life for PCs way back in the day. It was fun, and different. This game is SUPER boring and not what I was expecting.

THE GAME OF LIFE

This game is so bad i would rather have involuntary butt sex with a herd of cattle

waste of money and time

its not worth the money at all!
