THE GAME OF LIFE App Reviews

ok

I think the game should have more small game in the big game if you know what i mean. I think its so much more fun on the wii!

Words cut off

Definitely not wortht the $10! Most of the words are cut off when it tells you what other players did to you, your memory book etc. Runs smoothly, and decent graphics. Would DEFINITELY get a refund if I could.

Download doesn

I just spent $10 and this game does not work! Ive uninstalled and reinstalled over and over and it doesnt work. I bet this app gave me a virus - how do I get support, or at least my money back??

Very short

The game is VERY short compared to the original I played when I was younger on CD. This game lasted me 10 minutes when the original cd version would have lasted me almost an hour. You dont get to look at your path options either. Its not as fun. Just something to do.

Some improvements...

I love this game, and it keeps my family and I entertained for hours. But there are some issues that could be improved. The game seems to be glitchy a lot lately; skipping spaces, giving money to the wrong players, and messups with the words on the screen. I was also sad to find out that in party mode you couldnt play with the computer as well. Overall great game!

Good but missing

Ive always liked the board game and I went looking for it at the App Store. I was happy to find it and bought it. I dont agree with some other reviewers, that it isnt like the board game. I think it plays almost like the original board game, which is great. I do agree there are too many lawsuits. My only real disappointments and the reason for the 4 instead of a 5 rating was the lack of wifi support so friends could play too on their iPads and computers hooked to my wifi network. Im sure the folks at EA could fix that with an update. I would also have liked the option to have same sex marriage, just like in the board game, as my gay friends grumble when they have to marry opposite sex partners. Other than those two things, its a fun game.

life

this game i played with my nephew on his kindle and i like it, so i got this to play on my i mac and love it. this game lots of fun to play, my nephew is six years old and im 48 years old, its a cute game . now the only thing i wood have them change instead of plain pegs in the car put some faces on them. now is this game worth $9.99 yes because its when you have 5 or 6 year olds to play with and the love the game, this game is cute and very very colorful, and its real fun watching 5 or 6 years old choose witch way they want to go. p.s. give it a try joey from tennessee

I bought this game in a hurry, because the kids (being here over the holidays) wanted to play LIFE but did not want to go through the maddening hassel and excruciating work of setting up and playing the real board game. At first, we tried the PC version, purposing to put it up on the 42” plasma screen, but the PC-game formatting forbid that to happen. So, as I stated before, I went to the App store and bought for my macbook pro, endeavoring again to put it up on the TV via the mini dvi-hdmi. Every other game I have does this just fine. Not so with “The Game of Life” App. It locks up the mac every time to the point I have to reboot just to get out! What kills me is that all the other games work fine and format perfectly on the TV; even the “free” games. But the $10 Life failed. And yes, all the negative reviews about how this new computer version has completely derailed from the original and is all about just screwing over your opponent, not making wise and well-though-out investments…they are all true and accurate! It seems that the developers of this app have followed suit with the games mentality, in that they are screwing us over when we buy this garbage!! Therefore, in mercy I am writing this review to minimize the numbers of other “Life-lovers” from lining the pockets of the “developers” that are prospering by selling such refuse.

I can’t get this thing to open!

I have Yosemite on my Macbook Pro with Retina. I am a big fan of Monopoly and The Game of Life. Monopoly works great! But it was missing some few things compared to the iPad version. Anyway, I can’t get this game to load. Every time I tried to open it, it force crash. I can’t get it to work at all. I tried installing it several times, rebooted, etc. Still can’t get it to load. Big bummer! But the other comment about the marriage, I completely agree! Game should allow you to chose the gender on who you marry! It’s a fun game. Don’t let this compatibility get in the way! :( Please fix it!

Poor experience!

Soooooo boring, there is no any challenge in it, its my worst $9.99…I dunno where is my mind to buy such a junk!

App Crashes Upon Start Up

I was really excited to download this game when I saw it in the MAC App store, but I was quickly disappointed when I tried to load the game after it finished installing. Within .5 seconds of launching the app, it immediately crashes. I contacted EA Support team to try to figure out what the issue is (They had me reinstall, reinstall in safe mode, delete the cache, delete the preferences, fix the proxies on my network, reinstall java, etc.) to no avail. The support team seemed to be just as confused about the issue as I was, and they did not know how to fix it. After trying about 15 troubleshoot options, I finally opted to just stop trying, and I am now requesting a refund for this purchase from Apple. I would recommend not buying this product until EA figures out what the issue is in compatibility with this program and Mac.

Fun!

I pondered over buying this game for a couple of months because of the negative ratings. I finally bit the bullet and bought it, and I’m glad I did. I’ve had no problems at all with it. It’s exactly like the board game, except they’ve modernized the wording, salaries, and other money amounts. We love it.

okay game

This is a good game if you like to play with family and friends.
